Data We Collect

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this platform. We only collect information that you voluntarily provide when using our service. Specifically:

  • Account data: name, email address
  • Payment data: processed exclusively by our payment provider Paddle. We do not store any credit card or bank details.
  • Journal data: trades you log, notes, strategies, uploaded images, and generated statistics — stored on Convex (EU-based servers)
  • Broker data (API import): when you connect a supported broker, trade data is automatically retrieved via the broker’s official API. We store only the transmitted trade data — no login credentials or passwords.
  • CSV import: when you manually upload a CSV file, the trade data contained in it is imported and stored in your journal.
  • Usage data: technical data such as IP address, browser type, and page views (via PostHog)

Purpose of Processing

We use your data solely to provide the platform’s services. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. Specifically, we process your data to:

  • provide and operate the TradeStats platform
  • import trades automatically via connected broker APIs
  • process manually uploaded CSV files and import them into your journal
  • manage subscriptions and process payments
  • handle support requests
  • improve the user experience through product analytics (PostHog)
  • inform you by email about updates or changes to this Privacy Policy — you may opt out at any time

Legal Basis (GDPR)

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests) for analytics purposes.


Data Storage

Your journal data (including imported trades and uploaded images) is stored on Convex’s cloud infrastructure (EU-based servers). Convex processes data in accordance with GDPR requirements.


Cookies

Our platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. Specifically:

  • Necessary cookies: required for the operation of the platform (e.g. session management, login)
  • Analytics cookies: PostHog sets cookies to collect anonymized usage data to help us improve the platform

When you first visit our website, you will be asked for your consent via a cookie banner. You can change your cookie preferences at any time.


Third-Party Services

Paddle (Payment Processing): Paddle.com Market Ltd. handles all payments and billing. Privacy policy: paddle.com/privacy

Security

  • access the personal data we hold about you

  • restrict processing of your data
  • object to processing of your data

Data Retention After Cancellation

When you cancel your subscription, your account is set to “inactive”. Your journal data (trades, notes, strategies, images, statistics) remains fully intact — you can reactivate your account at any time and pick up right where you left off.

No automatic deletion takes place. If you would like your data to be fully deleted, you can request this at any time by emailing info@tradestats.io. Deletion will be completed within 30 days.


Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email to the address on file before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the platform after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
